21세기에 국제화의 급속한 흐름과 세계화의 조류 속에 국가적으로나 개인적으로 엄청난 변화를 일으키고 있다. 국제화 시대에 살고 있는 우리는 선진국의 문물을 수입하여 최첨단 일등국가에 진입하려면 세계어로 군림하는 영어를 자기 것으로 체득하지 않으면 개인이나 사회나 국가가 발전할 수 없다는 것은 자명하다. 누구나 외국인을 만나면 몇 마디의 의사소통을 하고 싶은 것이 인지상정이다. 외국인과 대화하고 문물을 받아드린다는 것은 자신의 발전이요 내부자아의 세계적 우주적 확장이며 본능적으로 확산하려는 개인 심령의 자연스런 발로인 것이다. 그러나 지난(至難)한 영어학습과정이 손쉽게 이루어지는 것이 아니며 또한 외국어를 체계적 효과적으로 습득할 수 있는 교재나 프로그램이 없어 많은 사람들이 고생을 하고 있으므로 이에 본 저자는 한국인의 입장에서 빠른 시간에 영어에 자신감을 가지고 스스로 자아학습을 할 수 있는 교재를 구상하다 이번에 본 저서를 출판하게 되었다.

(1) We meet God of Creator through Nature.

하나님은 우리 주변에 있는 자연을 통해서 만날 수 있습니다. 이 우주를 과연 누가 만드셨을까요? 우주만물을 보면 하나님이 살아 계신다는 것을 느낄 수 있지 않나요? 무엇을 보든지, 만지든지, 무엇을 하든지 간에 하나님을 생각해보세요 하나님은 내 주변 어디서나 만나게 될 것입니다.

(2) We meet God of almighty through the book of Bible.
Bible is God's message talking to us, so you must make meeting with your God through Bible as if you meet your friend, parents everyday in your life. That's the very meaning of reading Bible and listening, studying, reciting, meditating it. While reading bible and meeting your God is just that you scatter your Faith and grow, fruit, get a way of belief.
하나님은 성경을 통해 만날 수 있습니다. 성경은 하나님께서 우리에게 들려주시는 말씀입니다. 따라서 성경을 통해 친구가 친구를 만나는 것처럼, 또 매일매일 부모님을 만나는 것처럼 하나님과 만남을 가져야 합니다.그것은 바로 성경을 읽고 듣고 연구하고 암송하며 묵상하는 것을 말합니다. 성경을 읽으며 하나님을 만나는 것, 이것이 바로 신앙을 뿌리고 키우고 열매맺어 믿음을 얻는 길입니다.

(3) We must live with our God of Father. We can not part from God for a while. Have you ever lived alone apart your parents? How did you feel your emotion at that time? If I don't live with my God, God is no relation with me. Now do I live with my god?
하나님과 함께 사는 것입니다. 잠시라도 떨어지지 않는다는 것입니다. 부모님과 떨어져 살아본 적 있나요?그때 기분은 어떠했나요? 내가 만일 하나님과 함께 살지 않는 다면 하나님과 나는 아무 상관이 없다는 것입니다. 지금 나는 하나님과 함께 살고 있나요?

(4) I communicate with my God. Communication is to love with one another and exchange dialogue with God and other people. When I love god, I keep company with my god. Make dialogue with your partner as doing communication, whispering to each other. what dialogue do you have to communicate with your god? Write down the words that you want to speak to God of Almighty. The Creator.
하나님과 교제하는 것입니다. 교제란 서로 사랑하며 사귀는 것을 말합니다. 내가 하나님을 사랑한다면 나는 지금 하나님과 교제하고 있는 것입니다. 교제를 하면 서로 속삭이며 대화를 나눕니다. 지금 하나님과 나누고 싶은 대화는 무엇이 있나요? 하나님께 하고 싶은 말을 적어봅시다.

제1장: THE WHOLE BIBLE STORY----The Bible Story Retold by Rod Smith
GENESIS
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. In six days, God created day and night, oceans and sky, dry land and plants, the sun, moon and stars, fish and birds, and land animals. Finally, God created in His own image a man called Adam and a woman called Eve. God looked at all that He had made. It was very good. Then God rested on the seventh day.

 God prepared the Garden of Eden as a wonderful place for Adam and Eve to live. In it God planted every tree that was pleasant and good for food. God told them to eat the fruit of all the trees. But God told them not to eat the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil or else they would die.

 One day, a serpent tricked Eve. It lied to her and told her that she would be like God if she ate the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Eve ate some fruit and persuaded Adam to eat some. Then they realized that they had done an evil thing by disobeying God. When they heard God approaching, they were ashamed and afraid. They tried to hide from God but eventually they had to confess that they had sinned.

 God placed a curse on the serpent and made it crawl on its belly in the dust. God increased Eve's pain in childbirth. God caused weeds and thorns to grow so Adam would have to work hard to grow food. God made them leave the garden so they couldn't eat the fruit in the garden anymore. But God made a promise that someday one of Eve's descendants would crush the power of sin.

 After Adam and Eve left the garden, they had two sons, Cain and Abel. When they grew up, Abel raised sheep and cattle while Cain grew plants. One day, Cain and Abel brought offerings to God. God was pleased with Abel's offering because Abel's heart was right but Cain's offering did not please God. God told Cain that he needed to overcome his sin. Instead, Cain gave in to anger and jealousy, and he killed his brother. Then God placed a curse on Cain so the earth would not grow crops for him.

 Adam and Eve had other children. Their children married and had more children. People began to fill the earth. But they became very sinful. A man named Lamech boasted that he had killed a young man for no good reason. People became so wicked that God decided to destroy all of the evil people with a great flood.

 Only Noah pleased God. God told Noah to build a large boat called an ark to save his family and the animals from the flood. Noah obeyed God, built the ark and filled it with food. Then God brought two of every kind of animal to the ark. When they were safely inside, God sent forty days of rain. Water covered all the earth, even the tallest mountaintops. But God kept Noah safe in the ark. After the flood, Noah built an altar and thanked God. God promised that there would never be another great flood. He put a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise. God also commanded that anyone who committed murder should be executed.

 After the flood, the children of Noah began to fill the earth again. But they disobeyed God and worshipped idols. They built the tower of Babel out of their pride. God confused their languages so they were divided. Then God scattered them over all the earth. But God gave them over to their idolatry.

 God chose one man, Abraham, to start a nation that would worship Him. God called Abraham and his wife Sarah to leave their home and travel to the land of Canaan. God promised Abraham that he would be the father of more people than the stars in the sky and that they would possess the land of Canaan. Abraham didn't have even one child and he didn't own any land but he believed God and that was credited to him as righteousness. God told Abraham to circumcise himself and all of his male descendants as a sign of their covenant.

 Abraham had a son, Ishmael, by Sarah's maid, Hagar. Ishmael is the father of the Arabs. But Ishmael was not the son that God promised. Abraham and Sarah waited over fifteen years after God's promise before the birth of Isaac.

 Isaac had two sons, Esau and Jacob. God gave Jacob a new name, Israel. Jacob had twelve sons whose families formed the twelve tribes of Israel. Jacob had a favorite son, Joseph. The other brothers were jealous of Joseph. One day, they sold him as a slave to some men on their way to Egypt.

Joseph served faithfully as a slave and was put in charge of the household. When the master's wife enticed him to sin, Joseph refused. So she falsely accused him of wrongdoing and had him thrown into prison. Even in prison, Joseph served faithfully and was soon put in charge of the other prisoners. One day, Joseph was called to interpret a dream for Pharaoh. The dream predicted a seven year long famine. Joseph told Pharaoh how to store up food for it. Joseph was then promoted from prisoner to the second ruler in all of Egypt, next only to Pharaoh.

 When the famine came, Joseph's brothers came to Egypt to buy food. Joseph forgave them and invited them to come and live in Egypt. Joseph realized that God had allowed him to suffer slavery and prison so he could prepare the way for his family to move to Egypt.

 EXODUS
During the 430 years that the Israelites were in Egypt, they became slaves to the Egyptians. Moses was born to Israelite slaves but he was raised as a son of Pharaoh. When Moses was forty years old, he tried to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Instead, he had to run for his life into the desert. When Moses was eighty years old, God spoke to him from a burning bush and instructed him to go back to Egypt and lead the Israelites out. At first, Moses thought that he was going to fail again but he followed God's leading. When Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites leave, God sent ten plagues. The last plague killed every firstborn child and animal in all of Egypt. But none of the Israelites were killed. The angel of death passed over their houses because they had put the blood of a lamb on their doorposts. The Israelites celebrated this Passover every year.

 God led the Israelites into the desert with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. But He led them back into Egypt to the edge of the Red Sea. When they were trapped by Pharaoh's army the Israelites were afraid and cried out against Moses. But Moses had learned to trust God. God opened a way for them through the Red Sea.

 God led the Israelites through the desert to Mt. Sinai. He provided manna from Heaven to eat and a stream of water from a rock. At Mt. Sinai, He gave them the Ten Commandments and many other commands. God had them build the Tabernacle as a place to worship Him.

 LEVITICUS
God gave the Israelites instructions on worship and on offerings and sacrifices for sins. The greatest commands that God gave were, "Love God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength," and, "Love your neighbor as yourself." All of the other commands are based on these two.

 NUMBERS
After a year at Mt. Sinai, God led the Israelites to the Promised Land, but they didn't trust God to help them conquer the land. They rebelled against God's leading so God made them wander in the desert for forty years until all of the unbelieving adults had died. During all of that time, they ate manna from heaven and their clothes and sandals never got old or wore out.

 But many times the Israelites grumbled against God and Moses. One time, they grumbled because there was no water. God told Moses to speak to a rock and it would pour out water. Out of anger, Moses struck the rock and took credit for providing water. Because he did not honor God in this, Moses was not allowed to enter the Promised Land.

 Another time when the Israelites grumbled, God sent poisonous snakes among the people and many people died. The people admitted that they had sinned and asked God to remove the snakes. Instead, God told Moses to make a brass serpent and mount it on a pole. When someone was bitten, he would not die if he looked at the brass serpent that Moses had lifted up.

 DEUTERONOMY(신명기)
When the Israelites reached the Jordan River, Moses reminded them of all the things the Lord had done for them. He explained the covenant that God had made with them at Mt. Sinai. He described the blessings they would receive if they obeyed God and the curses if they disobeyed. Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo and saw the Promised Land before he died.

 JOSHUA
After forty years in the desert, Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land. God commanded them to completely destroy all of the people who lived there to cleanse the land of sin and idolatry. When they followed God's plan, the walls of Jericho fell down before them. But when they devised their own plan, they were defeated at Ai. Joshua fell on his face before the Lord because of their defeat. But God told him to stop crying and go remove the sin from their camp. Achan had sinned by keeping some of the treasure from Jericho. The Israelites destroyed Achan, his family and all his possessions. Then they followed God's plan and conquered Ai.

 God helped the Israelites conquer the rest of the Promised Land. He made the sun and the moon stand still for a full day so the Israelites had enough daylight to destroy the Amorite armies. God fought for the Israelites when they destroyed the rest of the Canaanite armies. But the Israelites stopped fighting before they had completely destroyed all of the Canaanaites. Some Israelites began to worship the Canaanite idols. They did not learn the lesson that God is far greater than any idol.

 JUDGES
For three hundred years, the Israelites were led by judges such as Deborah, Gideon and Samson. When neighboring nations attacked the Israelites, they would cry to God for help. Then God would raise up a judge to lead them. God would help them defeat their enemies. After a while, they would forget what God had done and go back to worshipping idols. Then God would raise up another nation to attack them until they turned back to God for help. This cycle repeated for thirteen judges. During this time, God showed special grace to a foreign widow named RUTH.

1 & 2 SAMUEL
The last judge was Samuel. The Israelites asked Samuel to let them have a king like the other nations. God chose Saul as the first king, but he didn't obey God. So God chose David as king because David had a heart that followed God. David trusted God when he fought against Goliath, the giant. David wrote many of the PSALMS to praise God. God promised that David's family would always be kings in Israel.

 1 & 2 KINGS, 1 & 2 CHRONICLES
David's son, Solomon, became king after him. God gave Solomon great wisdom and he wrote many PROVERBS. Solomon built a beautiful temple in Jerusalem to worship God. But he also built temples to the gods of his foreign wives. Therefore, God took the ten northern tribes of Israel away from Solomon's son and made them a separate kingdom.

 The northern tribes of Israel had all bad kings who led the people to worship idols. One time, the prophet Elijah challenged the Baal worshipers to a test to see whom to worship, God or Baal. The Baal worshipers prayed all day and even cut themselves but nothing happened. Then Elijah prayed and God sent fire from heaven to burn up the offering on Elijah's altar to God. Later, God sent prophets such as HOSEA and JOEL to warn the northern tribes to turn back to Him, but they did not listen. Finally, God sent the Assyrians to conquer their land and take them away to foreign lands.

 The southern tribe of Judah had some good kings who led the Jews to worship God. But they had many bad kings who led them to worship idols. God sent prophets such as ISAIAH, JEREMIAH, HABAKKUK and ZEPHANIAH to warn them to turn away from idols but the people didn't listen. Finally, God sent the Babylonians to conquer the land and take most of the people to Babylon.

 God was still with the Jews in Babylon. He raised up DANIEL, Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego to places of leadership in Babylon. Daniel trusted God when he was thrown into a den of lions. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego trusted in God when they were thrown into a fiery furnace. God kept them safe, even in the lion's den and fiery furnace. God also raised up ESTHER to be queen at a time to deliver the Jews from their enemies.

 After 70 years, God allowed many of the Jews to return to the Promised Land. EZRA, the priest, led them to rebuild the temple. NEHEMIAH led them to rebuild the city walls. God sent prophets HAGGAI, ZECHARIAH and MALACHI to encourage them. (After the Jews returned from Babylon, they never worshiped idols again. They finally learned their lesson.)

 Between the Old and New Testaments
For four hundred years, there were no prophets or messages from God. The Jews were conquered by the Greeks, then by the Romans. They were ruled by foreign kings. But God never forgot his promise to David that one of his descendents would rule over the nation. God had not forgotten his promise to Adam and Eve that one of their descendants would crush the power of sin.

 MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE, JOHN
In a humble stable a little baby was born to a poor couple named Mary and Joseph who were both descendants of David. The baby was named Jesus which means "God saves." Angels foretold that he would be born the Son of God. Angels announced that he was born a Savior, Christ the Lord.

When Jesus was about thirty years old, he was baptized by John and began his public ministry. He called disciples and began to teach them. He chose twelve disciples to be apostles. For three years, they traveled around the Promised Land. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead and cast out demons. He walked on water and even the wind and the waves obeyed him. He taught people about true and genuine righteousness, worship, prayer and service. His life is an example of humility, purity, friendliness, mercy and grace. Jesus said, "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many." He said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

 Many people followed Jesus and listened to every word. But the religious leaders hated him because he did not follow their man-made traditions. They arrested Jesus but the only charge against him was that he claimed to be the Son of God. The religious leaders turned the hearts of the people against Jesus. He was nailed to a cross until he died and he was buried.

 Early on Sunday morning, Jesus arose from the dead just as he had promised his disciples. For forty days, he appeared to them at different times and places. He told them to go into all of the world and spread the good news that he had conquered sin and death. Then Jesus ascended into Heaven. (He is now with God the Father and intercedes for mankind. His death was the perfect sacrifice for every sin, from Adam and Eve to the end of time. His shed blood established a new covenant of salvation by grace, not works. His death and resurrection opened up the door to Heaven and eternal life for everyone who trusts in him.)

 ACTS
Ten days after Jesus ascended into Heaven, the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles. When a crowd gathered, Peter preached to them that Jesus, whom they had crucified, was the Lord and Christ. When they realized how great their sin was, Peter told them to repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sin and that they would receive the Holy Spirit. Three thousand people believed and were baptized. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, to fellowship and to prayer. They shared what they had with those in need. Then the church grew rapidly.

The religious leaders opposed and persecuted the church. The apostles were threatened and beaten, but they could not help but talk about Jesus. When the disciples were forced to leave Jerusalem, they went throughout the area and talked about Jesus. A zealous Jew named Saul went about arresting disciples. Then Jesus appeared to Saul and he also believed in Jesus. Saul began to tell everyone that Jesus is the Christ.

 At first, the believers were all Jews. Then God sent Peter to preach to Gentiles at the house of Cornelius, a Roman soldier. The church rejoiced to see that God's grace had been extended to the Gentiles, too. Saul, who was also called Paul, traveled through Cyprus and into Asia Minor. He told the Jews and Gentiles about Jesus. Many people believed and many churches were started. Later, Paul spread the good news about Jesus through Asia Minor and Greece. Paul's traveling companions included Barnabas, Mark, Silas, Luke, Timothy and Titus. When Paul returned to Jerusalem, he was falsely accused by the Jews, and was sent to Rome for trial before Caesar. In spite of a shipwreck, Paul arrived in Rome and spent two years under house arrest. (Apparently he was released but later arrested again and put to death.)

 Besides starting many churches, Paul wrote letters to the churches and to individual Christians. To the ROMANS, Paul wrote about God's plan of salvation by grace. To the CORINTHIANS, Paul wrote about dying to sin and walking in love. To the GALATIANS, Paul warned against the false teaching of salvation by works. To the EPHESIANS, Paul encouraged them to follow the example of Jesus Christ. To the PHILIPPIANS, Paul encouraged them to walk as mature Christians. To the COLOSSIANS, Paul encouraged them to put Jesus Christ first in their lives. To the THESSALONIANS, Paul encouraged them to remain steadfast to the Lord in spite of persecution and false teaching. To TIMOTHY and TITUS, Paul gave them instructions on leading the churches and to remain faithful to God's calling. To PHILEMON, Paul asked him to forgive and welcome back a runaway slave.

 The book of HEBREWS describes how Jesus is superior to angels and to Moses, how the new covenant of grace is superior to the old covenant of law and how Jesus' death for sin is superior to animal sacrifices for sin. It encourages believers to remain steadfast in their faith to Jesus. JAMES wrote a very practical book on Christian conduct. The apostle PETER wrote two letters encouraging Christian to remain faithful to Jesus in spite of suffering and false teaching. The apostle JOHN wrote three letters to encourage Christians to maintain their fellowship with God and with each other, and to avoid false teachers. JUDE wrote a stern warning to false teachers.

 REVELATION
prophesies about the events that will lead up to the return of Jesus Christ. Then, all of the dead will be resurrected and judged according to their lives. All of the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars will be thrown into the lake of fire along with Satan and his demons. Everyone whose name is written in the Book of Life will enter into the New Jerusalem, the Holy City, where God dwells. There will be no death, sorrow, tears or anything evil. They will live forever in the presence of God.

 Jesus says, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you all. Amen.

The Bible begins with mankind in a beautiful garden where Adam and Eve could be with God. The Bible ends with all of the saved in the Holy City of God where everyone can live in the presence of God. But the unsaved will be thrown into the Lake of Fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Jesus said, "For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." (Matthew 7:13-14 NIV)

 Many people believe that the way to get eternal life is by doing good works and obeying God's law. But the Bible says, "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law...This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:20, 22-24 NIV)

 The Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas, "'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' They replied, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household.'" (Acts 16:30-31 NIV)

 The crowd in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost asked, "'Brothers, what shall we do?' Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'" (Acts 2:37-38 NIV)  

Three thousand people responded to Peter's invitation that day. "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." (Acts 2:42 NIV.)

1:1-31; In The beginning, when God created the universe, 2;the earth was formless and desolate. The raging ocean that covered everything was engulfed in total darkness, and the Spirit of God was moving over the water. 3;Then God commanded, "Let there be light"-and light appeared.4;God was pleased with what he saw. Then he separated the light from the darkness, 5;and he named the light"Day" and the darkness"Night." Evening passed and morning came-that was the first day.

 

 

 

 
On the second day, God made the sky and the water. 상하의 물을 나누시고 궁창(穹蒼)을 지으심(1:6-8)

6;-7;Then God commanded, "Let there be a dome to divided the water and to keep it in two separate places"-and it was done. So God made a dome, and it separated the water under it from the water above it. 8;He named the dome 'Sky." Evening passed and morning came-that was the second day.

On the fourth day, God made the sun, moon and stars.일월성신(日月星辰)을 지으시고 주야를 나눔(1:14-19)
 14;Then God commanded, "Let lights appear in the sky to separate day from night and to show the time when days, years, and religious festivals begin; 15;they will shine in the sky to give light to the earth"-and it was done. 16;So God made the two larger lights, the sun to rule over the day and the moon to rule over the night; he also made the stars. 17;He placed the light in the sky to shine on the earth, 18;to rule over the day and night, and to separate light from darkness. And God was pleased with what he saw. 19;Evening passed and morning came-that was the fourth day.

 

 



On the fifth day, God made the birds in the sky and fish in the oceans.금수(禽獸) 곤충과 어류를 지으심(20-23)
 20;Then God commanded, 'Let the water be filled with many kinds of living beings, and let the air be filled with birds. 21; So God created the great sea monsters, all kinds of creatures that live in the water, and all kinds of birds. And God was pleased with what he saw. 22;He blessed them all and told the creatures that live in the water to reproduce and to fill the sea, and he told the birds to increase in number. 23;Evening passed and morning came- that was the fifth day.

 

 



On the sixth day, God made the animals and man.인류를 지으심(24-31)
24;Then God commanded, "Let the earth produce all kinds of animal life: domestic and wild, large and small"-and it was done. 25;So God made them all, and he was pleased with what he saw. 26;Then God said, "And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us. They will have power over the fish, the birds, and all animals, domestic and wild, large and small." 27;So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female, 28;blessed them, said, "Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds, and all wild animals. 29;I have provided all kinds of grain and all kinds of fruit for you to eat; 30;but for all the wild animals and for all the birds I have provided grass and leafy plants for food"-and it was done. 31;God looked at everything he had made, and he was very pleased. Evening passed and morning came-that was the sixth day.

 On the seventh day, God rested.안식일을 제정하사 그 날을 축복하심(2:2-3)
Genesis2:1-4;And so the whole universe was completed. 2;By the seventh day God finished what he had been doing and stopped working. 3;He blessed the seventh day and set it apart as special day, because by that day he had completed his creation and stopped working. 4;And that is how the universe was created.

 

 

 



Set2 ; The intermediate level program
The first day, God separated light from darkness.
Genesis1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light form the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and morning were the first day.

 

 

 


The second day, God made the sky and the water.
Genesis1:6-8 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and morning were the second day.

 

 

 


 

The third day, God made dry land and planets.
Genesis1:9-13 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear. and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so, And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed is in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.  

 

 

The fourth day, God made the sun, moon and stars.
Genesis1:14-19 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light upon the night he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

 

 

 

The fifth day, God made the birds in the sky and fish in the oceans.
Genesis1:20-23 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.    

 

 

The sixth day, God made the animals and man.Genesis1:24-31 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after 
God is our Creator. God made the world.
God made the shiny stars. God made everything.

 The seventh day, God rested.

In the beginning, God created heaven and earth. Water lay deep over the surface of the earth and the darkness was absolute. God said, "Let there be light." And there was light. God divided the light, which he called day, from the darkness, which was night. And so ended the first day and night of creation.

The second day, God made the sky and the water.

  Next God said, "Let there be sky over the waters."and he called the sky heaven; and this was on the second day.

 

 

 

 


 The third day, God made dry land and planets. 

On the third day dry land rose up through the waters, and God called the land earth, and the water sea. At once grasses took root on the earth and every kind of plant; buds opened, seeds sprouted an trees grew heavy with fruit.

 

 

 

 

 The fourth day, God made the sun, moon and stars. 

 

 

 On the fourth day God said, "There must be lights in the sky to divide night from day and to mark the seasons." For this he created two lights, the greater, which he called the sun, to shine over the day, and the smaller, the moon, to shine at night. Around the moon he set the stars.

 The fifth day, God made the birds in the sky and fish in the oceans.
 On the fifth day God created all the creatures of the sea and sky. Birds flew through the air, while in the watery depths great fish swam silently.

 

 

 

 

 

 The sixth day, God made the animals and man.
 On the sixth day he made all the animals, from the wild beasts of deserts and jungle to cattle grazing in the fields.
And God said: " I shall make man to rule over them." And so from the soil itself God created mankind, both male and female in his own likeness. And that was on the morning and evening of the sixth day.

 

 

 

 


The seventh day, God rested.

2. 노아의 방주(The ark of Noah)
◈Noah's Ark: Genesis 6:8  As the years passed, the descendants of Adam grew in number, and spread to the four corners of the earth. But as they grew in number, so they grew in wickedness; and God, seeing violence and corruption everywhere, decided to destroy all the people and animals that he had created.
  There was, however, one man whom the Lord loved, a good man who led an honest and hard-working life. His name was Noah, and God chose to save him, and to save also Noah's wife, and his three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, and their wives.
  "The world has grown wicked,"he told Noah, "and I intend to destroy every living thing that I have made. But you, Noah, you and your family shall saved. "I shall cause a flood to rise over the land, and you must build an ark out of cypress wood which will float on the waters; it must be roofed with reeds and coated inside and out with tar. It must measure three hundred cubits high. It shall have three stories, with a door and a window in the side. In it you must make room for yourself and your family, and two-one male female-of beast, reptile and bird. And you must fill it with enough food for them and for yourselves. For it will rain for forty days and forty nights, and life on earth will be extinct."
  Noah did exactly as God had told him: he and his sons built the ark, making it watertight and stocking it with plenty of food of every variety for man and beast. When everything was ready, they led all the animals into the ark. Then they themselves went inside and shut fast the door. The skies darkened and it began to rain.

대홍수(The big Flood)

The rain continued for forty days and nights. The flood waters rose, lifting the ark up with them until it was floating as high as the hills. Finally even the mountain ranges were submerged, and everything that was alive perished: there was no living thing left on earth.
  But God had nor forgotten Noah, and all who were with him on the ark. After a time the rains stopped. The days went by, and then a great wind blew up; and after the wind a calm, and slowly the waters began to go down. Eventually the ark came to rest on a mountain peak in Ararat.
  Time passed, and Noah wanted to find out if the waters had subsided. Opening a window, he released into the air a raven to see if the bird would find anywhere to land. But the raven flew far and wide in every direction and saw nothing but water. Next Noah released from the ark a dove; but she, too, flew in every direction without finding anywhere to land, for the waters still covered the earth.
  As he spoke his blessing, a rainbow appeared in the sky. "This rainbow," he said,"is a sign that never again will the world be destroyed by flood; and in times to come when I could the sky with rain, afterwards you will see a rainbow, and you will remember my promise, a promise made to you and to every living creature in the world.  삼성중학교 영어성경 성서극화 교육부

성경애 대한 안내(Introduction to the Bible)
  The BIBLE IS A collection of books written by different people over a period more than 1,000 years and dating from about 1450BC. It is divided into two main parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament.

  The Old Testament are the Scriptures. or sacred writings, of the Jewish people. They give an account of people of ancient Israel over many centuries and the New Testament. By contrast, the New Testament, which consist of writings about Jesus and his first followers, covers a period of  about 60 or 70 years. Both the Old and New Testament make up the Christen Bible.

  There are 66 books in the Bible. It is often said that it is more like a library because there are so many kinds of writing in it. For example, there are books containing laws, history, poetry, wise saying or proverbs, diaries, and letters.

The old testament
  The 39 books of the Old testament have guided the Jewish people throughout their history. These are the Scriptures which Jesus read. For Jews, the most important part is the Torah-the first five books of the Bible. The word "Torah" means "teaching". The books are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, Christians call this the "Pentateuch", a Greek word meaning "five books".

  Each Sabbath Jewish congregations listens to a part of the Torah being read from scrools in the synagogue. It takes a year of weekly readings to go from the beginning to the end. On the day when the last part of the Torah is reached and Genesis chapter one is due to be read again, there is a celebration called Simchat Torah, the "rejoicing of the law." A procession dances around the synagogue carrying the Torah scrolls high in thanksgiving.

  In Christian services passages from the Old Testament are often read. The stories are considered important by Christians because of what can be learned from them about God, about others, and about themselves.

The Five Books of Moses
  The Torah is special to Jews because its books contain God's words given through Moses to the Hebrew people, their ancestors. The Torah is sometimes referred to as "The Five Books of Moses" because of this. Its stories, songs, prayers, and laws teach about God and what he promises to his people and expects from them.

  For Christens, all the books of the Old Testament are equally important. They are divided into four sections: the law, history, poetry, and wisdom writings, and the prophets.   At the first the words of the earliest books of the Old Testament were passed on by one generation repeating them to the next. Eventually they were written down in the Hebrew language on parchment, which is made from animal skin. Each word was copied carefully by a scribe, as it is today. The Torah is studied by young Jews from an early age. When a Jewish boy reached the age of 13 he becomes Bar-Mitzvah, which means "a son of the commandment". He is now a Jewish adult and, on the Sabbath after his birthday, the can read from the Torah in the synagogue. A Jewish girl becomes Bat-Mitzvah, (daughter of the commandment) at the age of 12. Some synagogues mark the occasion with as special ceremony.

The Dead Sea Scrolls
  In 1947 a sheherd boy came across some ancient scrolls in caves near the Dead Sea: they were fragments of all the books of the Old Testament, expect for Esther, and had probably been written out at the time of Jesus. It is thought that they came from the monastery at Qumran and were hidden in the caves by a group of Jews called the Essenes. The discovery showed how accurately scribes had copied these special words down the centuries. Psalm 119 verse 105 explains why the Old Testament is so important to Jews and Christians. The writer says to God, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path". ※Discovered "The Dead Sea Scrolls, stored in pottery jars, were found in caves at Qumran. Some of the fragments date back to the 2nd century BC.

The New Testament
   The new Testament is made up of 27 books. The first four, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John describe the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The Acts of the Apostles tells of the growth of the Christian church and journey of St Paul. The Epistles are letters from Christian leaders to Christians in the newly spreading churches. The book of Revelation contains letters to seven churches and writings about the future reign of Jesus in the world.

The Gospels
  "Gospel" means "good news". The words of the Gospels were first passed by word of mouth from person to person. Many people believe that Mark's Gospel was the first to be written down and that Matthew and Luck referred to Mrak's book in their own writings. John's Gospel is quite different. It does not describe as many events in Jesus' life or include any of his parables. It concentrate on explaining who Jesus was what he taught.
  The Gospels do not tell us everything about life of Jesus. They concentrate on the three years before his death and on selected events and incidents during this time. They were written by his close followers to show to others why they believed that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of God. Their purpose was to get across the message of Jesus' teaching to people living at the time, and to leave a written account for future generations.

Early Editions of the Bible
  The New Testament books were first written down on papyrus scrolls, an early form of paper made from reeds. Christians then began to copy them on to sheets of papyrus, which were bound and placed between two pieces of wood or tablets. This form of early book was called a codex.  The oldest surviving part of the New Testament is from St John's Gospel and dates from about AD125. A complete New Testament in codex form was found at St Catherine's monastery at foot of Mount Sinai in 1844. The Codex Sinaiticus is in Greek and dates from 4th century AD. Manuscript fragments of the New Testament can be t4raced to the 2nd century.
  As Christianity spread, the words of the New Testament were translated into Latin and other language. It was not until 1382 that the first complete version of the Bible in English was published. It was translated by John Wycliffe and at this stage, the words were still copied by hand.
  The first printed Bible was the Gutenberg, which appeared in 1456 with text in Latin. Printed translations in other language soon followed, but it was not until 1535 that the first complete English Bible was published by Miles Coverdale. The Authorized, King James' Version, appeared in 1611. This was prepared by scholars and was one of the great achievements of the reign of King JamesⅠof England.
  There are now many versions of the Bible. It has been translated into over 1900 languages. This means that most people in the world can hear it being read in churches oa can read it for themselves in words they can understand. This is important to Christians who believe that the Bible is one of the main ways in which people can find out about God's love for the world.

  Was there ever, thousands of years ago, a personage named Abraham whom more than three billion people-more than half of humanity-venerate as the father, patriarch, and spiritual ancestor of their faiths? Two billion of them are Christens, 1.2 billion are Muslims, and close to 15 million are Jews. And had Abraham verily spoken with God and celebrated with him covenants that become the foundations of these religions? The outlines of Abraham's life appear first and mostly fully in Genesis, the first book of the holy scriptures of Judaism and the Christian Bible's Old Testament. 수천년 전에, 인류의 반 이상인 30억 사람들이 아버지로, 족장(창시자)으로, 그들 신앙의 영적인 선조로 존경하는 아브라함이라고 불리는 한 유명인이 여태껏 산 적이 있었던가?  그들 중에 20억은 기독교인이고, 12억은 이스람교도이고, 1500만명은 유대인들이다. 그리고 아브라함은 신과 함께 이러한 종교들의 기초가 되게 한 약속들을 그와 함께 찬양된 것을 명확하게 말해져 왔던가? 아브라함 일생의 윤곽은 유대교의 신성한 성서의 첫번째와 기독교 구약성경 창세기에 처음으로 대부분 충분하게 나타난다. 

Abraham also makes frequent appearances in other Jewish and Christian writings, including the Talmud and the New Testament, and he is mentioned time and again in the Koran, the holy book of Islam. Christianity accepted Abraham as its patriarch almost at its own birth. Paul the Apostle wrote in the New Testament's Epistle to the Romans of that faith of our father Abraham. And in the Magnificate in Luke, the Virgin Mary says the Lord helped his servant Israel in remembrance of mercy; as he spoke our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed for ever. 아브라함은 또한 탈무드나 신약성경을 포함하여 다른 유태인이나 크리스챤의 기록에 자주 등장하고, 그리고 그는 이스람의 거룩한 코란에도 언급한 경우가 반복되었다. 기독교인들은 아브라함을 그의 출생부터 거의 족장(선조)으로 받아들인다. 바울사도는 로마인 보낸 신약서한에서 우리 신앙의 아버지로 기록하고 있다. 누가의 성모마리아 송가에서, 성처녀 마리아는 주님이 그의 종 이스라엘에게; 우리의 조상에게 말한 것처럼, 아브라함과 그의 종자들에게 영원히, 자비의 기억으로 도왔다고 말했다.  

 

 

 

The Prophet Muhammad, who taught the principles of Islam in the seventh century, similarly honored Abraham, whom the Koran recognizes as one of Islam's prophets: We believe in God, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob. The Koran elevates Abraham's story to religious practice. Muslims are commanded to prefer the religion of Abraham the Hanif(monotheist), and the Koran says God took Abraham as Khalil, his "friend." 예언자 마호멧, 7세기에 이스람의 원리들을 가르칠 때, 코란이 이스람의 예언자중 하나로 인정하는 아브라함을 유사하게 존경했으며 : 우리는 신을 믿고, 우리에게 계시되었고, 아브라함과, 이스마일, 이삭, 야곱에게. 코란은 아브라함의 이야기를 종교적 실천으로 고양시킨다. 무스림들은 아브라함의 종교가 유일신교신자로 선택받기를 명령받고, 코란은 신이 아브라함을 그의 친구로 맞아들였다고 말한다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Genesis11:27-31 The Descendants of Terah
 27;These are the descendants of Terah, who was the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran was the father of Lot, 28;and Haran died in his hometown of Ur in Babylonia, while his father was still living. 29;Abram married Sarai, and Nahor married Milcah, the daughter of Haran, who was also the father of Iscah. 30;Sarai was not able to have children. 31;Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot, who was the son of Haran, and  his daughter-in law Sarai, Abram's wife, and with them he left the city of Ur in Babylonia to go to the land of Canaan. 유대교 이스람교 기독교는 한핏줄 한뿌리에서 뻗어나와 상극으로 투쟁하는 적대적 異種 종교
 종교적 신념과 오도(誤導)된 믿음의 혼란과 갈등에서 비롯된 배타적 독선과 맹신의 극단적인 대립으로 적대적인 피의 보복을 계속하고 있는 중동지방의 유대교 이스람교 기독교는 원래 한 조상, 한 핏줄 한뿌리에서 뻗어나온 동근이경엽(同根異莖葉)의 별종(別種) 종교이다. 이 종교들의 공통조상은 아브라함이다. 아브라함은 구약 창세기의 메소포타미아 문명의 발상지인 수메르지역의 우르지방에서 바빌로니아 지역을 거쳐 팔레스타인으로 이주한 유목민의 조상이다. 그의 아들 이삭은 이스라엘 민족의 조상이 되었고 서장자(庶長子)인 이스마엘은 아랍인의 시조가 되었다. 지금도 서로간 적대적인 종교전쟁을 벌이고 있는 1,200만 유대인과 10억의 무슬림의 생물학적 아버지는 아브라함이다.    아브람은, 본처 사라의 질투에서 비롯된 혈육적 계통을 중시하는 가부장적 전통에 따라, 생전에 이스마엘을 차별하여 쫓아낸 것이 빌미가 되어 지금까지도 수천년간 서로간 주도권 싸움을 벌이는데 사실은 종교적인 이념이라기보다는 영토와 땅과 집과 물질을 더 많이 차지하기 위한 세속적 욕심과 혈육적 집착에 의한  오도된 신앙의 결과이다. B.C.4,000년경 자기 부족의 무리를 이끌고 현재의 중동지역에서 거주지를 찾아 헤메던아브람은 팔순이 넘도록 후사가 없어 고민하던 중 본처 사라는 궁여지책으로 몸종 하갈로 하여금 남편의 핏줄을 받게한 결과 아브람은 이스마엘이라는 아들을 얻었다. 그로부터 14년 후, 아브람이 100세가 되던 해 아브라함[아브람의 개명]은 본 부인으로부터 이삭이라는 아들을 얻었다. 사라는 몸종 하갈의 자식 이스마엘이 비록 서자이지만 장자에 해당하는 명분으로 가문에 대한 영향력의 증대하고 또한 몸종이 자기를 무시하는 것을 못마땅하게 여기고 있던 중 자손의 유산권과 관련하여 골치아픈 존재인 이스마엘과 하갈을 내쫓으라고 아브라함에게 졸랐다. 아브람은 집안의 화목을 위하여 어쩔 수 없이 마지 못해 하갈 모자에게 약간의 양식과 식수를 휴대하여 내쫓은 것이 유대인과 무스림의 후손들이 불화하게된 근본 원인이다. 각 종교의 선도적 지도자는 유대교에서는「랍비」라 하고 이스람교는「이맘」유대교에서 발전한 그리스 정교회는「주교」천주교는「신부」개신교는「목사」라고 부르는 경전및 신앙생활 지도 전문가들이 서로가 종교의 탄생과 역사적 유전의 유산들을 많이 차지하기 위한 밥그릇 싸움과 흡사하고 더 많은 빵과 재물을 차지하기 위한 주도권 쟁탈전을 계속하고 있지만 그것이 진정 하나님이나 천주님 알라신의 뜻이 아닐 것이다.
    이들 세 종교는 역사적 현장인 중동지역에서 강력한 지배력을 확보하기 위한 정치적 세속적 목적에 따라, 겉으로 포장된 종교적 주장과 의식의 형태를 수단으로 활용하여, 사람들의 시선을 끌어모아 영향력을 행사하려는 것이다. 서로가 아브라함의 유산과 법통을 독점하기 위해 사생결단의 투쟁을 하는 수백 수천 수만 수억의 새로운 작은[부모의 자식]아브라함을 만들어 내고 있다. 세 종교의 지도자들은 원조 아브라함의 정체성을 자신이 처한 국가적 시대적 개인적 상황에 맞게 재해석하고 억지 이론을 가설에 맞추어 자기 입맛에 맞는 교리로 고쳐 씀으로써 더 많은 분파작용과 이화작용을 확대 재생산하고 있는 것이다.
   각 종교를 신봉하는 신앙적 교리의 후손들은 아브라함의 정체성과 역사적 종교적 유산을 더 많이 차지하려고 오랜 세월동안 피의 보복과 유혈충돌을 하게 됬으며 제물로 바쳐진 이삭의 신앙정신이나 아브라함이 실천한 믿음의 증거를 희생의 제물로 삼아, 아브라함이 추구한 참다운 신앙과 믿음의 본질이 잘못 전해졌으며, 하나님이 아브라함의 신앙심을 시험하기 위해, 자기 아들을 희생의 제물로 삼도록, 지시한 것이 후대 사람들은 신앙심의 척도로 목숨을 걸고 자신을 버리고 투쟁하라는, 오도된 메시지로 잘못해석하여 지금까지 상대의 존재를 인정하지 않고 배척하며 타인의 존재를 말살하고 죽음도 불사하고 전투적으로 투쟁하는 비뚤어진 결과로 변질되었다.
  아브라함이 죽은 뒤에 이스마엘과 이삭이 수십년간 걸친 불화를 끝내고 아버지의 장례식에 참석하여 화해한 사실을 보드라도 지금의 세 종교를 믿는 후손들도 상호화해하여 진정한 종교인의 바른길로 가는 것이 마땅할 것이다. 아브라함을 믿는 후손들이 아브라함의 참 뜻을 온전히 이해하고 용서하는 정신을 살려서 지금까지 반목하던 미움의 태도를 버리고 서로간 화해하면 물질적 경제적 갈등도 치유되고 밥그릇 싸움과 더 많은 빵과 고기와 음식과 주택을 소유하려는 세속적 욕망도 해결되어 상대를 인정하고 화합하여 살 수있는 공존의 정신이 수립될 수 있다.

★ 이스람(Islam:회교:回敎) 창시자 무하마드: 아라비아 반도 북부에 거주하던 무다르계 부족의 출신으로 , 무스림들은 무다르 부족이 이스마엘의 후손이라고 믿고있다. 이스람교는 서(西)아시아(West Asia) 건조한 지방에서 태어난 일신교(一神敎)이며 기독교 유다교와 함께 같은 아랍인계 솀어족(Sem語族)에 속한다. 모하메드(Mohammed) 일명 무하마드(Muhammad)이며, 그가 바로 이스람(Islam)의 교조(敎祖)이다. 570년경 이스람의 유력한 집안인 핫심(Hassim) 문중의 한 가난한 집에 모하메드가 태어났으나 일찍 조실부모하여 할아버지와 숙부 슬하에서 성장한 그는 40세 까지 별로 그의 행적이 알려지지 않고 있다. 다만 25세 때 부유한 과부인 하디자(Khadija)와 첫 결혼을 했다고 알려저 있다. 40대에 들어 그는 알라의 가르침을 아라비아 백성들에게 전파하려 했으나 사람들의 비웃음과 박해만 받아 13년을 허송했다. 그러다가 622년 물불을 무서워하지 않는 일단의 추종자들을 이끌고 하나의 교단국가를 규합한 후, 632년 60세를 일기로 메디나에서 타계했다. 모하메드가 예언자(豫言者)로서 활동한 것은 622년부터였는데, 그 해에 고만 멕카 시민들의 박해를 받고 마침내 메디나로 도망을 쳤다. 이것을 이스람에서는 헤지라(Hegira:성천:聖遷)라고 하며, 이스람교의 기원 원년(紀元元年)으로 삼고 있다.  이스람교는 유다교나 그리스도교와 같은 계열의 종교라고도 할수 있다. 그리스도교는 주로 포교(布敎)활동으로 아라비아로 퍼젔으나, 유다교는 식민자(植民者)로서 크고 작은 집단을 이루어 이주하여 많은 부(富)를 누리기도 했다. 또한 아라비아반도에는 여러 인종 여러 계급의 부족, 부족간에 유혈사태와, 극심한 빈부의 차가 심했었다.

★ 그리스도(기독교)와 이스람의 상호관계: 1960년대에 그리스도교 세계에서 이스람에 대한 반목과 갈등을 치유하자는 분위기가 싹텃다. 카토릭교회의 제2차 바티칸 공회의(1962-1965년)에서 이스람세계와의 종교적 냉전 분위기를 해소하자는 화해의 시대가 전개되고 개신교와 동방정교횡에서도 1968년 세계교회협의회(wcc) 웁살라대회를 시작으로 이스람종교의 무스림들과 대화를 위한 노력과 관심을 보이기 시작했다.

He picked up a large, smooth stone to use as a pillow and lay down to sleep.  He dreamt he saw a stairway reaching up to heaven, with angels moving up and down it. At the top of the stairway was God. "I am the God of Abraham and of your father Isaac,"said the Lord to Jacob."And I will give the land on which you lie to you and your descendants."
   When Jacob woke early the next morning, he was struck with wonder. "this is a holy place, for God himself was here."He took the stone which he had used as a pillow, and having stood it upright, poured oil over it. Then he named the place"Bethel,"meaning the house of God.

스코틀랜드 왕국의 전설에 의하면 "야곱이 베고 잔 스쿤의 돌"은 이스라엘의 성지(聖地: The holy place)에서 채석됐으며 성경에 나오는 "야곱이 영적(靈的: Spiritual mental eye)으로 본 천사들이 오르고 내리는 하늘사다리 꿈"을 꿀 때 베고 잔 돌베개로 알려져 왔다. 스코틀랜드 왕들은 수 백년 동안 스쿤 마을에 있던 이 돌 위에서 왕의 대관식을 가졌으나 1290년 잉글랜드 왕 에드워드 1세 때 탈취 당한 후 700년 동안 영국왕의 대관식 때 왕좌 받침대로 사용됐다가 영국정부의 동의로 스코틀랜드 수도인 에든버러에 영구 반환되었다.  자료출처:1996년 12월 3일 국제신문 기사참조

2. 예수님의 12제자 
Jesus Calls His Disciples/Apostles

Jesus was living and teaching in Capernaum, a town by the Sea of Galilee. One day as he was walking by the shore, he saw two fishing-boats drawn up on land, their owners nearby cleaning and mending their nets. Jesus stepped on to the nearest boast, and began talking to the crowds that soon gathered. After a while he said to hte boat's owner, Simon Peter, "Let go out a little way on the lake."

  When they were a short distance from land, Jesus told Simon Peter and his brother, Andrew, to throw their nets into the water."But there are no fish," they said. "We have fished all night, and caught nothing." However, they did as Jesus told them, and to their astonishment their nets filled with such a weight of fish that they were unable to pull them up. They signalled to their partners in the other boat to help them, and together they hauled the nearby breaking nets on board.  

  When the two brother saw the miraculous catch, they and their friends, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, fell down on their knees, terrified. But Jesus said, "Do not be afraid. Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." And so having brought their boats back to shore, they left their nets and all the tools of  their trade and followed Jesus.

  Jesus travelled with his disciples throughout Galilee, preaching in the synagogues, spreading the word of God and treating the sick. Men and women with every kind of illness and disease-some paralysed, others racked with pain or tormented by horrific dreams-all came to be healed. People came from far and wide to bear him speak, not only from Galilee itself, but from Jerusalem, Judea and from way beyond Jordan.

  One day Jesus passed a man called Matthew, a collector of taxes. He worked for the Romans and  so was hated by the Jewish people. Jesus said to him, too, "Come, follow me." And Matthew, without a word, left his post and followed him.  

  When Jesus returned to his house and sat down to dinner with his companions, a throng of peoplw came to join him, many of them well-known as sinners. The Pharisees, shocked to see this good man in such bad company, questioned some of his friends. "Why does your master mix with rascals like these?" But Jesus heard their sneering words, and replied, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick: I have not come to ask good men to change their ways, but the sinners, for it is they who need me."

  Jesus went alone to the top; of a high mountain where he stayed all night in prayer. The next day he called his followers together, and chose twelve of them to be his disciples. To each one he gave special power of preaching and healing. The twelve were : Simon who is called Peter and his brother, Andrew; James and John, the sons of Zebedee; Philp, Bartholomew, Thomas,  Matthew the tax collector, James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot of Canaanite and Judas Iscariot.

12제자 중 3사람은 수제자. 12제자는 이스라엘 12지파 12부족을 상징한다. 12제자 외 70인을 특별히 파견하였다. 모세도 70인의 장로를 거느렸다. 12제자 중 4명은 어부였다. 세리 1명, 열심당원 1명, 배신자 유다 외는 전부 갈릴리 사람이었다.

①Simon Peter--요한의 세례 때 처음으로 언급되었다.(요1:40-42) 예수께서 사도로 정하려고 마음을 먹고 본 이름「시몬」에서 새 이름 "베드로(Peter,헬라어)","게바"(Cephas,아람어)로 개명시켰는데 둘 다「반석(Rock, Stone)」이란 뜻이다. 3년 후에 자기의 고백(마16:18)에서 확인되었다. 베드로는 아내가 있었다(마8:14). 그녀는 사도로 활동하는 베드로와 생사고락을 함께 했다.(고전9:5) 베드로는 벳새다 사람이었다.(요1:44) 가버나움에 집이 있었다.(막1:29) 벳세다에서 가버나움으로 이사한 것 같다. 베드로는 야고보(Jacob⇒James)와 요한의 동료 어부이었다.(눅5:10) 그는 숙달된 어부로서 좋은 인간성에 소탈하고 솔직담백한 성격이면서, 정열적이고 열심히 일하는 성품이면서 한편으로 성급하고 충동적인 면이 있는 다혈질의 성격을 가진 사람으로 관찰된다. 일반적으로 수제자로 일컬어지며 12제자의 대변인 역할을 하였다. 예수께서 별명을 주신 "반석"이란 이름은 독실하고, 용감하게 나아가는 바위처럼 굳센 의지를 나타내는 대담성을 상징하는 것이다. 그러나 그는 단순하여 행동보다 말을 먼저하는 언행불일치의 실수를 자행하였다. 예수님이 십자가에 처형되는 날 세 번 부인하고 안디옥에서 한번 거짓행동을 하였다. 그는 박해와 압박을 두려워하지 않았다. 그는 초대 교회의 반석을 세웠고, 세속의 통치자들이 어리둥절할 만큼 활발하게 교인을 지도하고 신앙훈련을 실천했다.            

②Andrew--벳새다 사람으로 안드레와 요한은 예수의 첫 번 신봉자이면서 회심자(Convert)였다. 그는 형제 베드로를 그리스도에게 인도하였다. 전설에 의하면 그는 소아시아, 헬라, 스구디아(러시아)에서 전도했다고 한다.

③James--요한의 형으로 "야고보"로 불린다. 예수는 두 형제 모두에게 "보아너게(Boanerges)" 즉, 우뢰의 아들이라고 이름지었다. 12제자 중 먼저 죽은 사람으로 44년, 헤롯에게 죽었다. 두 가문 출신, 세베데의 아들 야고보와 요한, 시몬과 안드레는 각각 형제였다. 그들의 직업은 어부로써 고용된 일꾼이 있었다. 그들 형제는 상당히 큰 사업을 하는 경제력이 있었다. 이 네 사람은 모두 사도가 되었고 그 중 세 사람은 수제자가 되었다. 전체적으로 예수의 제자들은 정규적인 교육을 받지 않았지만 성경과 신앙훈련을 통한 공동체적 영적 훈련을 거쳐 많은 사람을 지도할 높은 수준에 도달했다.   

④John--아버지의 이름은 세베대(마4:21). 어머니는 살로매(마27:56, 막15:40)는 예수님의 어머니 마리아와 사촌간인 셈이다.(요19:25) 예수와 요한은 사촌간으로 나이도 비슷하여 요한은 예수의 어린 시절을 잘 알고 있었으며, 또한 세례요한의 제자로, 세례요한이 광야에서 천국이 가까워 왔다고 외칠 때부터 예수님의 전도사역에 동참할 준비를 하고있었다고 볼 수 있다. 요한은 재산이 좀 있는 자영어부로 "삯군(막1:16-20)을 두고 어업을 경영하던 다섯 동료 중 한 사람이었다. 그는 가버나움에서 고기를 잡기도하고 예루살렘에 집을 가지고 있었으며(요19:27), 대사사장들과도 친교가 있었다. 세례요한의 증언에 따라 그는 예수의 수제자(요1:35-51), 처음 다섯 제자 중의 한 사람으로, 예수와 함께 갈릴리에 갔다가(요2:2,11), 자기의 어업에 복귀하였다. 약 1년 후 예수는 그의 직업을 버리고 자기를 따르라는 말씀을 듣고 계속 예수와 함께 천국건설 사업에 동참하고 복음서를 기록했다. 예수께서 그에게 "우뢰의 아들"이라고 별명을 지은 것을 볼 때 요한의 성격은 처음에는 거칠고 불처럼 사나운 기질이 있었다고 추정된다. 그는 예수님과 동행한 후 성령의 감화를 받고 예수님의 인간적인 가르침에 영향을 받아, 자기의 저돌적이고 조급한 성질을 억제하고, 아집에 휩싸인 조야한 기질을 조절하고 성경말씀으로 수양하고 통제하여 점점 하느님의 성품을 닮아갔다고 볼 수 있다. 낯서른 사람이 그리스도의 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내는 것을 금지시키는(막9:38) 것과 사마리아에 불의 심판을 내리기를 바라는 것(눅9:45)등을 볼 때 선과 악에 극단적인 판단을 내리는 냉철한 면이 있다. 그는 세 수제자 중의 한사람으로 또한 예수님의 가장 가까운 제자로 인정받았다. 특이한 성격의 소유자로 예수님의 많은 관심과 지도를 받았다. 요한복음은 90년경 기록되고 예루살렘에서 히브리어로 기록되고, 몇 년 후에 에베소에서 헬라어로 발행하였다.   

⑤Philp--벳새다 사람이며 베드로와 안드레의 고향사람이다. 다니엘을 예수께 인도했다. 현실적이고 실용적인 처세의 능력을 가진 전도인이었다. 전설에 의하면 그는 브루기아와 히에라폴리스에서 전도했다.

⑥Bartholomew--가나 사람「나다니엘」의 姓으로 추정되며, 예수께서 결혼잔치에 참석하도록 주선했다.

⑦Thomas--쌍둥이로 주의 깊은 성격에 생각이 많으며, 항상 의심하면서 믿어 가는, 우울한 기질에 회의적 성격의 소유자였다. 전설에 의하면 시리아, 팔티야, 바사, 인도에서 전도했다 한다.   

⑧Matthew the tax collector--레위(Levi)인으로 예수님을 만나기 전에 로마의 세금을 걷어주던 세리가 직업으로 유대인들에게는 매국노 취급을 받아 멸시의 대상이었다. 누가복음에서 예수님을 위하여 큰 잔치를 베풀고, 사명을 받은 후에는 모든 것을 버리고 예수님을 따랐다. 그러나 마태는 자기의 공로를 자랑하지 않고 자기를 낮추고 겸손하며 오직 주님을 존경하고 순종하면서 마태복음을 기록했다. 전설에 의하면 팔레스틴에서 몇 년 동안 전도하다가 외국을 여행하고, 복음서를 처음엔 히브리어로 썼다가 몇 년 후에 60년경 헬라어로 완성했다고 한다. 예수님 생존시에는 인간적으로 친구로써 예수님을 수행하였고 세리(서기)의 직업적인 안목으로 복음서를 정확하게 기록했다.     

⑨James--알패오의 아들로서「작은 자」로 불렸다. 키가 작았기 때문이리라. 전설에 의하면 팔레스타인과 애굽에서 전도했다 한다.

⑩Thaddaeus--야고보의 아들 유다와 같은 사람으로 추정된다. 전설에 의하면 수리아와 아라비아 메소포다미야에서 전도했다 한다.  

⑪Simon the Zealot--가나나인(Cananaean)이었다. 셀롯(Zealot,헬라어)은 열심당원으로 세리들을 강하게 반대했다. 예수님은 서로 상반되는 직업이나 기질의 사람을 선택하고 통솔했다.  

⑫Judas Iscariot--배반자 유다는 유다 성읍인 "그리옷"사람으로 세속적인 욕심이 마음속에 도사린 사람이었다. 부정직하고 금전적인 계산에 밝고 영적인 주님의 나라가 아닌 물욕적인 세상 왕국에서 예수님이 다윗의 왕위에 오르면 많은 보상을 기대하였다. 그러나 그의 욕망이 현실적으로 헛되다는 것을 깨달을 때 실망을 하고 죄 값에 괴로워하다, 목을 메고 높은 곳에서 떨어져, 배가 갈라져 죽었다.
3. 나사로의 부활(The Resurrection of Lazarus)
 Mary, Martha and Lazarus
  Jesus arrived in a village called Bethany, not far from Jerusalem, and was invited to the house of Mary and Martha, who were sisters. Mary sat at Jesus' feet listening as he talked, while Martha huerried to and fro preparing the food. After a while she began to resent the fact that her sister was doing nothing to help. "It is not right, Lord, that Mary should sit at your feet, while I do all the work," she complained. "But Mary is wise," he gently told her. "It is more important to listen to my teaching, as she does, than to worry, like you, about the affairs of the house."

  

The two sisters had a brother called Lazarus, and a little while after Jesus had left, Lazarus fell seriously ill. Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus, begging him to come and save their brother's life. The message reached Jesus as he was talking to his disciples. "Lazarus is sleeping," he said. "I will go and wake him." But he remained where he was for several days before returning to Bethany. As he approached the sister 'house, Martha, in tears, ran out to meet him."If only you had been here, Lord my brother would not have died!" Your brother shall rise from death. You must faith and believe what I have taught you of the resurrection of the dead."

  Mary, too, came out to Jesus, weeping as if her strength of her grief, he was deeply moved. "Where has Lazarus been laid?" he asked her, Accompanied by mourning relations, she led him to the tomb, which was in a cave, its mouth sealed by a heavy stone. "Take away the stone," said Jesus. With difficulty, the stone was rolled to one side. "Lazarus, arise!" To everyone's astonishment, Lazarus, his head and body covered in the while linen of his shroud, walked out of the cave. It was as Jesus had said: the dead man had been brought back to life, as if woken simply from sleep.

  The twelve disciples were arguing among themselves as to who in the eyes of God would be considered the most worthy/the greatest. Jesus, overhearing their discussion, called them to him and questioned them. But the disciples remained silent, because they were ashamed of what they had been saying. Jesus said to them, "In God's Kingdom, he who wishes to be first, must be last: he who wishes to come first before God must live humbly while on earth, and put others before himself."
  A group of  children came running up to Jesus and clustered/gathered round him. The disciples started to push them away, but Jesus was annoyed and stopped them. "These are my children,"he told the disciples. "All children must be free come to me when they wish, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to all who are as innocent as they."

  Then he picked up on e child and set her on his knee."Look at this little one,"he said." Unless you are as open trusting as this child, you will have no chance of entering Heaven." Then he stretched out his hand and blessed the children.

  Each day, you will learn a few sentences and a few simple sentence patterns. You should memorize and continuously practice these sentences. This is worth repeating. "Memorize as many words and  sentences per day as you can." Though you forget what you memorize, you must repeat your studying until you can master it. Listen carefully as your teacher and classmates say these sentences. Concentrate on developing your pronunciation, intonation, and general way of speaking. Blind man[1316김민규]: I really have to meet Lord. "Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me!" I know that God of Heaven treat all men equally. I long for to see God's country to come for long time. Jesus : Oh, yes. Carry him quickly to here. Make evidence of God's glory and miracle to everybody.What do you want me to do for you? 그래 빨리 데려 오너라. 모든 사람에게 하나님의 영광과 기적을 증거를 보여주어야 한다. 네가 무엇을 해주기를 원하느냐?  

Blind man: "Lord, I really want to see, Make my eyes open." Please, cure my deformity. 주님, 나는 정말   보기를 원합니다. 눈을 뜨게 해주세요. 제발 나의 불구를 고쳐주세요.  

Jesus : I will give your eye by the power of God. Receive your sight ; your faith cured yourself. 하나님의 능력으로 네 눈을 주노니. 너의 시력을 받으라; 네 믿음이 너를 구원했다.

Andrew[2319반성영]: I am the best disciple of our Lord why I met Lord at first time and introduce all of you to my Lord. 내가 주님의 최고 제자인 것은 제일 처음 주님을 만났고 여러분들을 주님께 인도했기 때문이다.

John[2325장재혁]: I work always with Lord nearby because I can do our mission works very well. So I have to receive the highest position after we build our Kingdom. 내가 항상 주님 가까이서 일하는 것은 우리의 전도사업을 가장 잘하기 때문이다. 그래서 우리의 왕국이 건설된 후에는 가장 높은 자리를 맡아야 한다.

Peter : I am active and strong enough to take the most important seat. Above all, I communicate with people in the front line to make the Kingdom of God, 나는 활동적이고 힘이 세기 때문에 가장 중요한 자리를 차지해야 한다. 무엇보다도, 하나님 나라를 만들기 위해 제일선에서 나는 사람들과 교제한다.

Thomas[2315, 박혁준]: I have many knowledges about Bible and remember many things so I am the first disciple. 나는 성경에 많은 지식이 많고 또 많은 것을 기억하기 때문에 내가 수제자다.

Simon Zealot: But you can't speak well. It is most important to preach well to evangelize people into  Christians. So I must take the first place of our groups. 그러나 너는 말을 잘하지 못한다. 사람들을 크리스챤으로 개종시키는 데는 잘 설교하는 것이 가장 중요하다. 그래서 내가 우리 집단에서 첫째자리를 차지해야한다.

Jesus : Be quiet. Don't quarrel with one another. Why do you always want to be great or have the first place among you. "In God's Kingdom, he who wishes to be first, must be last: he who wishes to come first before God must live humbly while on earth, and put others before himself." 조용히 하라 서로 싸우지 말라. 너희들은 항상 너희들 중에서 누가 더 위대한가 혹은 첫째  자리 차지할 것만 생각하느냐? 하나님의 나라에서는, 첫째가 되고자 하는 자는 마지막이 되고: 하나님 앞에 첫  째가 되고자 하는 자는 이 땅위에 있는 동안 겸손히 살아야 하고 다른 사람들을 자기 앞에 놓아야 하느니라.  

When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, 예수께서 보시고 분히 여겨 이르시되

Jesus : "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of the God like the little child will never enter it,"
어린 아이들의 내게 오는 것을 용납하고 금하지 말라 하나님의 나라가 이런 자의 것이니라. 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 누구든지 하나님의 나라를   어린아이와 같이 받들지 않는 자는 결단코 들어가지 못하리라 하시고

All disciple : We all think so, you are right, we was foolish, from now on, we will try to follow your direction. 우리도 그렇게 생각합니다, 선생님이 옳습니다. 우리가 어리석었습니다. 지금부터 주님의 지시를 다르겠습니다.  And he took the children in his arm, put hands on them and blessed them.   

Child1[1303김영준]: Lord, last night, I prayed to meet you, put the hand on my head, and pray me. 주님 ! 어제 저녁 에 주님을 만나도록 기도했어요. 제 머리 위에 손 얹고 기도해주세요.

Jesus : Oh! how an honest boy you are before God. "Look at this little child,"he said." Unless you are as open trusting as this child, you will have no chance of entering Heaven. 오! 하나님 앞에서 얼마나 정직한 소년인가! 이 작은 아이를 보아라, 너희들이 이 어린이처럼 정직하고 믿을 수 없다면 천국에 들어갈 기회가 없으리라.     

Child2[1311장성우]:  Please, My Lord Jesus, tell me more about God's country in Heaven. 나의 주님 예수여, 하나님 나라에 대해서 좀더 말해주세요.

Jesus : OK, I tell all of you, listen to me carefully. 그래, 알았다, 내 말을 주의하여 들어라.

 "These are my children,"he told the disciples. "All children must be free come to me when they wish, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to all who are as innocent as they." 이들은 나의 아이들이다. 모든 어린이들이 그들이 원할 때 나에게 자유롭게 올 수 있다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 나라는 그들처럼 순진한 사람들의 것이니라.

Child2: So, then I can enter the Heaven' country.

Child3:[1401권진욱] Lord, Master Teacher, I have brought up lonely for my parent died when I was early infant times. So I haven't got much love, just embrace me on the body and bless me. 주님! 저는 부모님이 일찍 돌아가셔서 외롭게 자랐어요. 그래서 사랑을 많이 받지 못했어요. 꼭 좀 안아주고 축복해주세요.

Jesus : Oh, is that so? How lonely you grown up! Though you don't have your parents, love God with courage. As God has many more times love than parents so you believe and follow the God's words that you will not be alone. 오, 그랬니? 얼마나 외롭게 자랐느냐! 비록 부모님이 없더라도 용기를 가지고 하나님을 사랑해라. 하나님은 부모님보다 사랑이 몇 배나 많으시니 앞으로 하나님 말씀을 믿고 따르면 외롭지 않게 될 것이다.     

Child4[1304황기현]: We are brothers. We want to follow Lord's "Heaven gospel traveling course". So we take roles of your errand. 우리들은 형제들이예요. 우리들도 예수님의 전도여행에 따라가고 싶어요. 그래서 심부름하는 역할을 하고 싶습니다.

Child5[1424김덕윤]: Lord my teacher, my name is Eelon. I love my friends. From now on, I will attend synagogue and learn hard the Bible. I believe in God's Word, keep on good communications with my friend. Take a good care of your health, my Lord, build God's country as possible as you can in a sooner or late, day by day. 나의 선생님 주님, 나의 이름은 엘론입니다. 앞으로 회당(교회)에 나가서 열심히 성경을 배우겠습니다. 하나님의 말씀을 믿고 계속 친구들과도 사이좋게 잘 지내겠습니다. 주님께서 건강을 잘 보살피시고 가능한한 머지않아, 매일매일 하나님의 나라를 건설하길 바랍니다.

Jesus : Oh, for your best thanks. You're honest. Keep on the God's words and obey your parents in everything make God in heaven joyful. 오, 그래. 고맙다. 착하구나, 하나님 말씀을 잘 지키고 부모님에게 순종하면 하나님을 기쁘시게 하느니라.

Child6[1415박재우]: Jesus, My Honor! Today, if Lord have a little time, would you play some games with us for a  while. 나의 예수님! 오늘, 주님께서 시간이 좀 있으면, 우리들과 잠깐 게임놀이 해줄 수 있겠습니까?

Jesus : Aha--ha! It's pity not to have a little time to play with you. So sorry, I must go to cure sick people now. I promise to play with you next chance. Good bye, all of you children, go over and play with your friends. And go to the church study hard to be a wonderful person.  아하! 너희들과 놀아줄 시간이 없어 안타깝다. 미안하구나, 지금 병자들을 치료하러 가봐야 한다. 다음기회에 같이 놀도록 약속하마. 안녕, 얘들아, 저쪽으로 가 친구들과 잘 놀아라.  또 교회에 나가서 열심히 공부해서 훌륭한 사람이 되어야 한다.  

③Role Play 대화체 연기장면: 예수님이 베다니의 마리아 집에 와서 나사로를 부활시키는 장면 Mary, Martha and Lazarus (Luke10:41-42,John11) As Jesus approached the sister' house, Martha, in tears, ran out to meet him. Mary was weeping then.
Martha[1321박준태]: "It is not right, Lord, that Mary should sit at your feet, while I do all the work," 주님, 메아리는 제가 일할 동안 주님 옆에서 앉아 있는 것이 옳지 못합니다. Jesus : "But Mary is wise," he gently told her. "It is more important to listen to my teaching, as she does, than to worry, like you, about the affairs of the house." 그러나 메아리는 현명한데 너처럼 집안의 허드렛일을 걱정하는 것보다 그녀처럼 나의 가르침을 듣는 것이 더 중요하다.

Martha: My Lord, "If only you had been here, my brother would not have died!"나의 주님, 여기에 계셨더라면, 나의 동생이 죽지 않았을 것입니다.

Jesus : "Lazarus is sleeping," he said. "I will go and wake him. Your brother will rise again." Your brother shall resurrect from death. You must a faith and believe what I have taught you the resurrection of the dead." 나사로는 자고 있다. 내가 가서 그를 깨울 것이다. 너의 오빠는 다시 살 것이다. 너의 오빠를 죽음에서 부활시키겠다. 너는 믿음을 가지고 내가 너에게 죽은 자의 부활에 관해서 가르친 것을 믿어야 한다.   

Martha: But I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last judgement day. 그러나 최후 심판의 날에 다시 부활할 것을 믿습니다.  

Jesus :  I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever in me during life time will never die. Do you believe this? 나는 부활이요 생명이다. 나를 믿는 자는 죽은 자라도 살 것이요; 살아 있는 동안 내 속에 있는 자는 죽지 않을 것이다. 너는 그것을 믿느냐?

Martha: Yes, Lord. I believe that you are Christ, the son of God who was come to earth from the Heaven. Mary! Lord has come here.예, 주님. 나는 주님이 하늘로부터 이 땅위에 오신 하나님의 아들, 구세주란 것을 믿습니다. 메어리야! 주님이 여기 오셨다.

Mary :  Lord, "If only you had come more earlier, my brother would not have died!" 주님, 주님께서 좀 더 [1320이정민] 일찍 여기에 오셨더라면, 나의 동생이 죽지 않았을 것입니다.

Jesus : "Where has Lazarus been laid?" Your brother shall rise from death. Don't doubt what I said. 나사로는 어디에 누어 있느냐? 너의 오빠는 죽음에서 일어날 것이다. 내가 말한 것을 의심하지 말라.

All people: Come and see Lazarus's cave. 가서 나사로의 무덤(동굴)을 보자.

Jesus : Take away the stone and open the cave of grave. 돌을 치우고 무덤의 동굴을 열어라.

Martha: But, Lord, by this time there is bad odor. He has been dead for four days.그러나 주님 지금쯤 나쁜 냄새가 날 것입니다. 그가 죽은 후 나흘이나 돕니다.

Jesus : Didn't I tell you that you must believe what I said. You will see the glory of God. Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I know that you always hear me, but I say this for the people standing here so that they believe that you sent me. 내가 말한 것을 믿어야 한다고 말하지 않았느냐? 너는 하나님의 영광을 볼 것이다. 아버지, 나는 당신께서 내 말을 들으신 것에 감사드립니다. 당신께서 항상 제 말을 들으실 줄 압니다. 그러나 나는 이것이 여기 서있는 사람들에게 당신이 나를 보냈다는 것을 믿게 하기 위한 것입니다. It was as Jesus had said: the dead man had been brought back to life, as if woken simply from sleep.

Lazarus [1331정연우]: Eo-ah-Eum··. here is here? Ah!--My breath stuffy! I feel my throat chokey. Eum ! Now it gives fresh live energy comes from my heart, soul body. 으아- 음··.  여기가 어디지. 아! --답답하구나 ! 숨이 가쁘고 벅차다. 음! 이제 생기가 나의 가슴과 영혼과 몸 속에서 솟아 나오는구나.

Mary : My lord! Lazarus is moving. Give him more strength. Blow and put full the vital energy into breast. 마리아 : 주님, 나사로가 움직입니다. 좀더 힘을 주세요. 생명에너지를 가슴에 듬뿍 불어넣어 주세요. 

Jesus: Ii-ja! uralat· cha·cha·cha? cha··-- Eeo-eo Euisja! Get up from the bottom and move your body and limbs. Eum···, Come on! Lazarus?  "Lazarus, arise! and come out from there." Take off the shroud clothes and let him go freely.

Now, everything moves normally. Untie quickly the bonds of the body in Lazarus and give  him something to drink. 이야! 우랏랏--챠챠챠?차··-- 으어 으이샤! 바닥에서 일어나 몸과 사지를 움직여라. 음···, 힘내! 나사로야! 나사로야, 일어나라! 그기서 나오너라. 수의를 벗기고 그가 마음대로 다니게 하라. 이제야, 모든 것이 정상으로 움직이는군. 빨리 나사로의 몸에 감긴 붕대를 풀어줘라 그리고 마실 것을 좀 주어라. Lazarus, takes breaths deeply and stretch his body with raised hands and yawns. After he gets strength, sits rightly and stands. 나사로 숨을 깊이 몰아쉬고 기지개를 켠 후 하품을 한다. 기운을 차린 후 서서히 바로 앉으며 일어선다.

Lazarus[1331정연우]: Oh! my sisters, Lord has come to revive my life. Thank you very much, my Lord! It's miracle. I have survived finally as Jesus, My holy gracious Honor, so many times told us before I died. I could be lived twice in my life. 나사로 : 오! 자매들, 주님께서 나를 소생시키려 오셨구나. 대단히 감사합니다, 나의 주님! 기적입니다. 나는 마침내 나의 거룩하시고 자비로우신 주 예수님께서 내가 죽기 전에 그렇게도 여러 번 우리에게 말씀한대로 부활하였다. 나는 내 인생을 두 번 사는 것이 됩니다.  

Sisters: Gracious Lord resurrected your dead life just now. How much thankful Lord it is. Oh! my God in Heaven we praise you forever. Eat this food and drink some water. 자비로우신 주님께서 방금 너를 죽음에서 부활시켰다. 주님이 얼마나 고마운지. 오! 나의 하나님, 당신을 영원히 찬양합니다.
Mary hugs Lazarus body and taking him aside and stroke him down.마리아가 마르다 옆에서 나사로의 몸을 껴안고 부축하며 쓰다듬는다.

All children: Hurrah! God of Father has come on us today. God bless all of us.만세! 하나님 아버지가 오늘 우리에게 오셨다. 신이 우리 모두를 축복하셨다.

All discipal: Oh! God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God appeared as holy spirit of to us today.  오! 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 하나님. 하나님이 성령으로 오늘 우리에게 나타나셨다.

All people:  Long live forever! The kingdom of God! God send us the curing light of death. 영원하기를! 하나님의 나라여! 신이 치료하는 광선을 우리에게 보내셨다.
